WHAT IS THERE FOR MY FAMILY?
Westlake United Methodist Church has activities and programs to connect people of all ages and stages in life. Our programs for children nurture infants and toddlers, engage pre-school and elementary students in the Bible and inspire and motivate Junior High and High School students to grow in faith and fellowship.
If you have a little one that's six weeks to 2 years old, we offer loving and safe nursery care from 8:15 - 12:30 each Sunday morning and for select events and small groups. We use a secure sign-in/out process and a silent pager system for safety and peace of mind.
If your family includes inquisitive 3, 4 or 5 year-olds, take them to the nursery where they will engage in age appropriate activities at 8:15 a.m. If you come for the 10:00 worship hour, your pre-schooler or kindergartener will start out in service, then head to the Sunday morning classes after the Time with Children.
In the BLAST program, (Bible Learning Adventure STations) your 1st through 6th grade child will start out in worship with you, then meet a caring small group leader and be shepherded to a different hands-on activity after the Time with Children at the 10:00 service. Children's Choir is offered for children in grades K - 6, from 11:20-12:00 every Sunday in Room 105.
7TH AND 8TH GRADE
We offer a confirmation program for your 7th or 8th grade student, that includes Sunday morning classes at 10:00, overnight retreats, outreach activities, and field trips.
Our Senior High meet for Sunday School--Bible Study-- at 9:00 a.m. as part of a Young Adult group (ages 14-20). There is a Senior High fellowship time on Sunday evenings from 5:45-8:00 p.m. designed for fun, learning, and sharing.
I STOPPED GOING TO CHURCH YEARS AGO, BUT NOW THAT I HAVE CHILDREN, I'D LIKE TO START GOING AGAIN . . . WHAT SHOULD I DO?
We encourage you to take the first step and come for a visit! We value the involvement of children, youth and families in all church activities. Our strong Christian Education and Youth programs often spark the involvement of the entire family! Come join us for Sunday worship and see how each member of your family can feel at home at WUMC.
